Coffee Cat Postcard

Hello, everyone!  Before I get started, I would like to welcome my newest follower - aussie aNNie - thank you for joining me!  Today I am sharing a postcard!  This is the first time I've made one, and it measures 4" x 6".  I thought a fun theme for my postcard would be a coffee-drinking kitty!

The adorable image is Gerda Steiner's Coffee Cat, which I coloured with markers and fussy-cut. I used some of my scraps on this postcard!  First I tore a scrap of green patterned paper (from my old stash), and then I tore a piece of kraft paper that arrived as packing material inside a parcel.  I didn't want to waste it!  I stamped the kraft scrap repeatedly with coffee beans (Newton's Nook) in Brushed Corduroy Distress Oxide.  I stamped more of the coffee beans along the left-hand side of the postcard, along with a cute Repeat Impressions Feline Post stamp in black.  Lastly I stamped a sentiment (Newton's Nook).

Here's a photo showing the back, where I stamped the postcard and cancellation stamp from The Artistic Stamper Carte Postale by Katy Fox.  I also adhered a cat postage stamp.  I'll be mailing my postcard this week to congratulate Crafting Vicky, who is celebrating 10K subscribers on her YouTube channel.  She asked for postcards and I was inspired to make one!

Love it, Kitty! Such a cute postcard, I've never tried to make a post card but I sent one the other day to my son. It was a picture of Indianapolis at Night (completely black). I laughed so hard when I saw it I just knew I had to send it to someone. So glad to be back home after my FIL's 90th birthday party. I am hoping to get back to crafting by the weekend. Tomorrow we are taking the twins as they've been cooped up in their apartment since Sunday when they returned from the first celebration. Rain, rain, rain here. Supposed to have severe storms overnight. I'm praying that won;t happen. Prayers for your safety and health and that of your family.
Hugs,
Donna
