Yuletide Greetings

Hello, everybody!  I continue to play along over at Beccy's Place in her Month of Holiday Cards!  It's an alphabet challenge, and there are only a couple days left.  For Day 28 - "Y", I chose Yuletide Greetings!

This sweet snowman is from Beccy's Place Snowman set.  I fussy-cut the precoloured image and adhered with foam tape.  For the background, I used an embossing folder (free with magazine) and then sanded it to expose the embossed areas in white.  I hand-cut a snowy landscape from white glitter cardstock to give the snowman a place to stand.  I adhered a number of red snowflake sequins and some green tree sequins.  I stamped the sentiment (Simon Says Stamp Tiny Words Christmas) on a white scrap and adhered with foam tape.

Double Trouble Paper Crafting has a challenge to Bring on the Glitz with a Snowman, and I've done two of the three prompts: Thing 1 - bling, glitz and/or glitter; and Thing 3 - Include a Snowman (I've already maxed out for Thing 2).

I would also like to support the following challenges: Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas AG Optional "R" (red) UE; DL.ART November Linky UE 1/d; Gem of a Challenge AG 3/3; Hobby Shop de Egel Christmas and 3 Trees 1/3; Jan's Digi Stamps AG 5/5; Penny's Paper-Crafty AG 1/3; Simon Says Stamp AG 2/5; The Outlawz Festive Friday Christmas UE; Wednesday's Creative Inspirations Winter Blues UE; Word Art Wednesday 414-415 AG w Uplifting Sentiment wk2 2/5

Thank you for looking at my card! Wishing you a joyful day!

That's a great idea with the embossing folder and sanding it down. I was given paper that is specifically made to do that but I've forgotten about it until now. Lovely card.

The glitter card stock is gorgeous Kitty and works beautifully as a frosty base for the snowman. I love the way you've embossed the background and then used some sandpaper to emphasise the pattern. Fabulous sprinkling of snowflakes... love red ones!
