Dashing Through the Snow

Hello, everyone! Before I share my card, I would like to welcome my newest follower - Jane Taylor - thank you for joining me!

Today I'm sharing a winter-themed card, made with my new Winnie and Walter stamp set called Winter Wishes.  I like to make my holiday cards all year long so that I'm ready with enough cards by the time November/December rolls around. Winnie and Walter is having a big 4th birthday bash celebration this month, so you will want to head over to check out the festivities and challenges!

I created a watercolour background with Distress Oxides using the ink smooshing technique and then white heat-embossed the snowflakes/snowfall.

  • Stamps:  Winnie and Walter - Winter Wishes
  • Ink:  Background (Distress Oxides - Salty Ocean, Seedless Preserves, Peacock Feathers), stamping (Lawn Fawn Jet Black for image and StazOn  Jet Black for sentiment), Versamark (snowfall)
  • Dies: Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders, Pretty Pink Posh Scallop Border
  • Paper:  Bienfang watercolour paper, vellum scrap, Recollections Black, Staples White
  • Colouring medium:  Markers
  • Other:  Ranger white embossing powder, Diamond Stickles, Posca white paint marker, snowflake sequins from my stash

Winnie and Walter Challenges
Four Challenge with Shay Four words in sentiment and four snowflake sequins
Repetitive Stamping Challenge with Crystal Repetitive stamping of snowflakes and snowfall for heat embossing
Watercoloring with a Twist Challenge with Heather H Watercolour background and coloured image with markers
Die Challenge with Lydia Stitched Dies
Comeback Challenge with Taheerah I was inspired by Lea Lawson's card here (I love her inky background, cute image, fun sentiment, stitched hillside, and black matte)
