I stamped the kitty and then stamped a second one on a Post-it note to use as a mask. Then I stamped the books over the mask so that the kitty is sitting on the pile of books. I don't remember masking before so this was my first time. It was easier than I thought! I coloured the image with Prismacolor pencils and proceeded to cut or die-cut all the shapes needed for the sketch and then layered them together.
