The cute kitty is part of a rubber stamp from Serendipity Stamps called Leaf Pets and I decided to use just the kitty so I stamped the image, coloured with Prismacolor pencils, and fussy cut. Below shows the full stamp. The doggie is so cute and I hated to cut him off, but I wanted to showcase the stamped background I made so I went with a smaller image and added a vellum die-cut behind him (Spellbinders Labels Nine).
I searched through all my stamp sets to find some leaves to make a stamped background, and I ended up using small leaf stamps from Newton's Nook Fanciful Florals, Kelly Purkey Fall Favorites, There She Goes Clear Stamps Treemendous, and Flonz Cute Kittens Playing. I stamped them on kraft cardstock in various inks: Ancient Page - Henna, Plum Wine, Sienna, and Sunburst, Memento - Cottage Ivy, and Simon Says Stamp - Khaki. I love how it turned out!
I heat-embossed the sentiment (Serendipity Stamps Seasonal Sayings Set) in gold (The Artful Stamper) on a red snippet and added a few maple-leaf sequins.
