2 Cards: Xmas Dragon and Xmas Kitty

Hi, everyone.  I hope you are having a great day.  I took some time out of my packing and organizing to make a couple of Christmas cards.  I am sharing both cards in one blog post because Sarn has requested this for her Rudolph Day challenge over at Stamping for Pleasure.  *** Scroll down to see Card #2 ***

Card #1
For my first card, I used this adorable image from Fresh Brewed Designs called Little Kitten and I coloured it with my Prismacolor pencils and added a cute little Santa hat.  The sentiment is a rubber stamp from Impression Obsession. The backing paper is actually some wrapping paper from a Christmas gift that I couldn't bare to throw away - I love the holographic sparkle.  Lastly I added ribbon and bow.

I would like to enter Card #1 in the following challenges:
  1. Impression Obsession IO Blog Favourite Technique (colouring with Prismacolor pencils) (used Furry Christmas sentiment stamp C7583) UE
  2. Animal Friends Polka Dots 3E #1
  3. Come and Get It Sweet Domestic Animals 2E #2
  4. Crafty Ribbons Anything Goes 5E #1
  5. Decosse's Dynamite Doodles 12 Days of Christmas Cards Link-up (entering both cards) UE
  6. Emergency Crafters Pink or Red 1E C10
  7. Fresh Brewed Designs February Blog Candy Link-up (see badge below and on left sidebar, badges are in alphabetical order) 3E #1
  8. Kaboodle Doodles Use Ribbon 3E #1
  9. Pattie's Creations Spots or Dots 2E #1
  10. Stamping for Pleasure Rudolph Day (entering both cards) 1E

Card #2
For my second card, I've used a freebie from Digi Stamps 4 Joy - they are having a monthly progressive challenge this year for Christmas cards, and this cute dragon is the February image. I coloured it with my Prismacolor pencils, fussy-cut, and added Stickles to the hat.  The DP is from Lawn Fawn, and the sentiment is a wood-mount from Plaid.  I added some rikrak, sequins, and metallic trees and reindeer.

I would like to enter Card #2 in the following challenges:
4 Krafty Girls Crafty Girls Challenges Anything Goes 3E #2
Card Mania Use a Sentiment 3E #1
Craftin Desert Diva's Glitter (used glitter glue on his hat) UE
Crafting from the Heart Anything Goes/Use Flowers 3E #3
Crafting with Dragonflies Card Challenge - Use a Freebie (Dragon is a freebie for challenge at Digi Stamps 4 Joy)
Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra February UE
Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper February UE
Creative Fingers Anything Goes 3E #2
Decosse's Dynamite Doodles 12 Days of Christmas Cards Link-up (entering both cards) UE
Digi Stamps 4 Joy Monthly Christmas Challenge (February) 1E
DL.ART Thankful Thursday February Linky UE 1/day
Fairies Celebrate UE
Fan-Tastic Tuesday Anything Goes 4E #1
Floral Fantasies 5th Blogaversary Candy Celebration - see Brenda's candy on right-hand sidebar - scroll down - candy in date order.  There are two items I use over and over again.  One is the sentiment stamp - it's from a set of wood-mounted Christmas sentiments from Plaid - I use them on the majority of my holiday cards because they are small and you can fit them in when there's not a lot of room.   Secondly, my Prismacolor pencils - I use these on practically every card I make.  2E #2
Just B Creative Crazy February Just Because Linky Party UE 1/day
Party Time Tuesday Anything Goes 2E #1
Scribble and Scrap Anything Goes 3E #3
Sister Act (Cards Only) Anything Goes UE
Stamping for Pleasure Rudolph Day (entering both cards) 1E
Suzy Bee's Bloomin' Whimsical/Fantasy (I think this dragon is pretty whimsical LOL) UE
Sweet Stamps Blog Favourite Colours (my favourite colours for Christmas cards are the traditional red and green) 1E
Through the Craft-room Door Anything Goes 2E #1
Tuesday Throwdown Anything Goes 3E #1
Winter Wonderland Christmas Card 3E #1
Word Art Wednesday Anything Goes with Uplifting Sentiment 5E #3

I am impressed with your organisation Kitty, if I could but follow suit I might not have the usual November rush to get Christmas cards made. Both are great anyhow and such different but effective colourways.

Thanks so much for joining in my blog celebration with your lovely cards.

Funny how we go back to old stamps time and again and I note you say wood mounted, given the choice I would still buy these, call me an old fashioned crafter.
