Hi, everybody! I am so proud of my hubby Brian! He has made 5 cards for the Cat Lovers Hop! If you've been following me for a long time, then you may remember that he had a stroke four years ago, in 2018. Life has not been the same for us since that time, but Brian has always been creative.
Work in progressBrian's cards actually started way back in the spring, when he wanted to make a card for me. I stamped out a bunch of
Gerda Steiner kitty images for him to colour with my Prismacolor pencils. He started colouring but his memory isn't good and the project got put on the back burner.
Surprise!This week with the
Cat Lovers Hop underway, I suggested he dust off his colouring from months ago and make a card for the hop. To my surprise, he was inspired to colour all of the images I had stamped for him, and he ended up making 5 cards!
He didn't want my advice
In order to make the cards, Brian needed assistance. I presented him with a number of printed backgrounds and sentiment stamps to choose from. He laid out his coloured images and sentiment stamps on the backgrounds and made all of the design decisions himself. He did not want my advice! In fact, he rejected several of my suggestions LOL! To assemble the cards to look exactly as he designed them, I took photos and then assisted with fussy-cutting, stamping sentiments, and adhering; that's all I did. He designed these cards himself!
Dedicated to Snowie's memory
Brian coloured all of the kitties to look like Snowie, his precious kitty who passed away last year. He ended up making one greeting card and a set of four coordinating journal cards for Snowie's Memory Album.

RIP Snowie, 2005-2021 |
Here's his first card. Brian made it with Snowie on his mind and deep in his heart:
Stamps: Gerda Steiner Valentine Cats (cat and yarn ball), Newton's Nook Smitten Kittens (sentiment)
Purr Background: Digital Scrapbook
In addition to the
Cat Lovers Hop, Brian also chose to join these 4 challenges:
Thank you for looking at Brian's card! He is looking forward to reading your comments! We appreciate your support! I am very proud of him!
