Spotlight Artist for May - Just Keep on Creating

Before I show you my card, I would like to share some exciting news:  I am delighted to be the Spotlight Artist for May at Just Keep on Creating!

JkoC adv button

Just Keep on Creating is a fun monthly link-up hosted by Susan where the theme is Anything Goes - my favourite!  You can enter as many times as you like; in fact, the more entries the better!

Check out the wonderful inspiration in the Just Keep on Creating May Link-up. There's still plenty of time for you to play along this month - the deadline to enter is May 26.  At the close of the linky, Susan picks her Top 10 Featured Artists - I always enjoy seeing the beautiful inspirational cards and projects that are chosen.  Susan will post her next Featured Artists shortly before the June challenge starts, so stay tuned!  And don't forget to link up your crafty project or card - it's Anything Goes!

Thank you, Susan, for choosing me as your Spotlight Artist this month - it was an honour!

Now I would like to share a get-well card I made for my nephew.  He was in a car accident last week.  Yes, very scary - and worrisome - he sustained a number of injuries but he's going to be okay.  So I tried to keep this one CAS, cheery, and masculine.  You all know I struggle with masculine cards!

The adorable daisy and bee image is from Diane's Daydream Designs.  It was lightly pre-coloured but I added lots of shading on the daisy with my Prismacolor pencils and Stickles on the bee's wings.  I fussy-cut and then popped it up with foam tape. The sentiment is a die-cut from Tattered Lace Everyday Sentiments, and the embossing folder is Cuttlebug Anna Griffin Modern Vines.

I enjoy supporting the following challenges:
