Butterfly Bookmark

I have created another bookmark.  I'm a bit old-fashioned, so I still like reading books by holding them in my hands - no e-readers for me!

For this bookmark, I stamped small butterflies in black on a strip of green cardstock, added a torn strip of green ledger paper, and stamped more butterflies in black.  I fussy-cut a glittery floral image that I recycled from an old greeting card and affixed to the bookmark.  I embellished with some butterfly stickers from my stash, hole-punched, and added peach ribbon.  Here are the supplies I used:
  • Stamps:  Butterflies (Studio G)
  • Ink:  Versafine Onyx Black
  • Cardstock:  Recollections
  • Ledger Paper:  Left over from school supplies
  • Ribbon:  Offray
I would like to enter the following challenges:
613 Avenue Crafts Anything Goes with Optional Twist to Use School Supply (I used ledger paper) 3E #1

I know poor bookmarks will be a thing of the past!! Someday kids will say "What's a bookmark?" LOL! Love all of the different elements you've added on both. Great way to recycle too! Thanks for playing in our neighborhood at 613 Avenue Create!

That's a really beautiful bookmark!!! And I'm totally like you, I have a e-reader... but much prefer the actual book with the smell of the ink on the paper!

Thanks for joining us at 613 Avenue Create this week. Hope to see you again next week. DT Crafting Vicky

I love your bookmark and how you brought all the things together and made something so pretty. I too love books and bookmarks over e-readers. ;-) I also love butterflies. Nice job.
