Cat Bookmarks

Hi, everyone!  When I saw the Cute Cat Bookmark Die Set at Your Next Stamp, I knew I had to have it!  I had a gift card that I had been saving for just the right time, and this was it!  I also picked up the Cute Animals Add On Bookmark Die Set, along with a few stamps. I couldn't wait to play with my new goodies!

I have three cats, so I made three bookmarks!  Here's the first one, which I made to represent Honeydew:

Here's the one I made to represent Kiwi. I gave him a white belly and a green bowtie:

And here's one to look like Snowie.  I decided to give her a tail, which came from the dog dies, along with a hot pink bow and heart:

Panda Bear Hug 2

Hi, everyone!  I'm loving bears lately so I could not resist this new release from Beccy's Place called Bear Hugs.

Stamps: Digital image (Beccy's Place Bear Hugs), clear stamp (cut and pieced to make this sentiment)
Die: Die-sire Heart Doilies
Other: Embossing folder (Docrafts Design Objectives Small Polka Hearts), Ranger white embossing powder, Ranger Glossy Accents

Here's how to make my card:

• Print pre-coloured image in black, colour with markers, and fussy-cut
• Die-cut heart doily and adhere to heart-embossed white panel
• White heat-emboss sentiment on black scrap and trim into strip
• Adhere image and sentiment strip with foam tape; apply Glossy Accents to bear's heart
• Adhere off-cut hearts and apply Glossy Accents
• Adhere panel to A2 card base

Winter Hugs

Hello, everyone!  I recently won some stamps from Paperbabe Stamps, and this cutie called Arctic Jumper was one of them (thank you, Kim!).  My card was inspired by Pantone's Colour of the Year for 2018, Ultra Violet, which happens to be the challenge at Paperbabe Stamps.

Stamps: Paperbabe Stamps Arctic Jumper
Paper:  Patterned paper (Doodlebug Polar Pals)
Ink: Ranger Archival (Violet, Magestic Violet), Distress Oxide (Wilted Violet, Broken China), Versafine Onyx Black
Accessories:  Die (My Creative Time Scalloped Stitched Oval), ribbon (Crafty Ribbons Seam Binding - thank you, Ali!), snowflake sequins, Posca white paint marker

Here's how to make my card:

• Stamp image in violet and sentiment in black (my violet inkpads were a bit dry so I ended up using three violets)
• Fussy-cut image
• Mask off sweater and sponge with Distress Oxide
• Use markers to add pink to cheeks and ears, and white dots to sweater
• Adhere image to scalloped oval and layer onto patterned paper, and then adhere to A2 card base
• Embellish with ribbon and snowflake sequins

Here's how I made my card:
- Colour image with markers, add accents with white marker, and fussy-cut
- Die-cut patterned paper and adhere to heart-embossed white panel
- White heat-emboss sentiment on black scrap and trim into strip
- Adhere coloured image and sentiment strip with foam tape
- Adhere various punched hearts
- Adhere panel to top-folding A2 notecard

Hello, everyone!  Before I share my card, I would like to welcome my newest follower - Suzanne Harkinson - I am so happy to see you here!

Pop-up Flip Card

Hello, everyone!  Surprise!  Here I am at last!  First I would like to thank those of you who kept in touch and checked on me while I was away from blogging - it warmed my heart that you thought about me and took the time to email - you are appreciated!

I have been thinking of reviving my blog for some time now so I guess I have to start somewhere!  I'm doing things a bit different now so I can't promise I will be commenting very much but will try to visit from time to time.  I will see how it goes!
