Cards for Hug a Heart Card Drive #2

Hello, everyone!  I'm still playing catch-up with my blog visiting so I'll be around to see you soon! Today I am sharing some more cards I made for the Hug a Heart Card Drive.

Christina Hor is collecting handmade cards with a heart theme (non-Valentine’s Day) to distribute to children who are Heart Center patients at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. The card drive runs from January 16 to February 14 and corresponds with Heart Month in February. I hope you will consider sharing your talents and make some cards to brighten a child's day! I used cute clip-art images and fussy-cut so I could pop them up on foam tape.  The images were freebies from Miss Kate Cuttables at one point (thank you).

Foxy Love

Hello, everybody!  If I haven't been around to visit your blog yet, I will get there soon! Thank you for your patience!

I have been on a heart-themed kick lately, and here's another one!  I was inspired by Newton's Nook's heart challenge, and I just made it in the nick of time last night!  All stamps and dies used are from Newton's Nook, and some of these have been inked up for the first time! They are Black Friday purchases - there were some great sales!

I did some gold heat-embossing on the hot-pink cardstock, and stamped the foxes and tiny hearts in red on light pink cardstock. The background was created with distress inks using the watercolour smooshing technique. I used minimal water because this was not watercolour cardstock.

Hedgies in Love

Hello, everybody!  Today I am sharing a hedgie love card!  I received this image for free since I joined last month's challenge at Gerda Steiner Designs.

Winter Deer Scene

Hello, everybody!  I haven't caught up with everyone's blogs yet but I'm working at it - it's slow going as I've missed so much!  I'll be around to visit soon!

Today I'm sharing some cards made with a deer scene die I bought recently. I made two variations. Do you have a preference? For the one on the left, I used white glitter cardstock for the die-cut, and upon seeing it alongside the white cardstock on the right, I realize it's not as white as I thought, although it is sparkly!

Card 1 - Warm Wishes

Cards for Hug a Heart Card Drive
