Panda Birthday Brew

Hi, everyone!  I don't know about you, but I can't resist a challenge or linky! I want to support all of them! Last night I saw a new CASE-ing DT link-up over at Coffee Loving Cardmakers and got to work right away to make my card!  The link-up expires today so if you're quick, you can join too!

I've been wanting to play with my new Panda with Cup that I won recently from Little Blue Button Stamps (thank you, Olga!). This panda is just so cute - I love her! I did some quick colouring with Prismacolor pencils and Bic Mark-its and added Glossy Accents over the panda's glasses and over the word die-cut. The patterned paper is full of glitter and sparkle but I'm not sure if you can see it in the photo.

Teapot Bouquet Birthday

Hello, everyone!  I'm back again today with another card!  Before I share it, I would like to welcome my newest follower - Jeanne Henson - thank you for joining me!

Today I made a birthday card! I found a new-to-me artist - Jennifer Nilsson Art Digital Designs - and she has some very cute designs! Jennifer is having her first challenge, so you will want to head over and check it out!  The theme is Celebration!  She has a Facebook Group and has offered some freebies there for members so I hope you'll check that out as well! My card features one of her adorable freebies called Teapot Bouquet, and I coloured it with Prismacolor pencils and doodled some dots around the die-cut circle.

I followed the sketch over at the DCWV August Stack-a-holic Challenge. I used the DCWV Vintage Collector stack - I love these gorgeous papers!  I'm not sure if the photo shows it, but these papers are loaded with sparkle!



My colour combo, flowers, and birthday theme were inspired by the Paper Sweeties Inspiration Challenge - August 2016 (shown below).  I used Paper Sweeties Raspberry flower-shaped sequins to embellish my card.

Secretarial Office 101

Hello, everyone!  Before I get started, I would like to welcome two new followers - Richa Maurya and Majda Pur - thank you for joining me!

Today I'm sharing a card I made last week and I'm just getting around to typing up the blog post. This is a vintage card inspired by an old "Office Girl" magazine cover shown below. I made this card for my Mom!  She used to be a secretary many years ago, and so did I!  I think my Mom will get a kick out of the vintage images and hopefully they will bring back lots of fun memories of her working career! I can't wait to give it to her! I know I had a lot of fun making it!

Sea You at School

Hi, everyone! Today I'm sharing a back-to-school card! I made a fun underwater scene and used lots of bright colours! I inked up my adorable Mermaids clear stamps from Pink and Main for the first time and coloured them with Prismacolor pencils.

My card began with a watercolour background, which I die-cut with Gina Marie Stitched Rectangles. The "Sea You" part of the sentiment is from the Mermaids stamp set, and I computer-generated the "at school" words. Then I die-cut with Gina Marie Drop Pennant. I adhered the mermaid, fish, sand-dollar, and starfish, along with a number of clear sequins.  Lastly I added a shell sequin.

Dove of Peace

Cat-tastic Scene

Hello, everyone!  Today I'm sharing a kitty scene card! I'm still playing with my new stamps from Joy Clair - Just Kitten Around Clear Stamps.  I love this sweet kitty - his smile is contagious! He's enjoying the flowers flying away in the breeze!

I coloured the kitty with Prismacolor pencils and then fussy-cut. I created a little scene with die-cuts. The sentiment is from the same Joy Clair stamp set. Here are the other products used:

Nautical Happy Birthday

Today I am sharing a masculine birthday card with a nautical theme!  I was inspired by this month's Taking it Nautical challenge over at Gecko Galz!  I used a ship image from Gecko Galz Let's Get Nautical Collage Sheet as the focal point. I sponged Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink around the image and mounted it on an angle on a distressed scrap.

Trick or Treat (Knitty Kitty DT)

Hello, everyone! I'm back again today with a Halloween card! This image is called Kit or Treat and it's part of the brand new Scaredy Cat Collection, just released by Knitty Kitty Digis. There are five fun new images in this collection so you'll want to head over to Knitty Kitty Digis to check them out!

These two kitties have dressed up in their scariest costumes and are ready for some treats - or tricks! This image was a lot of fun to colour! I used Prismacolor pencils and then added some clear Wink of Stella to the kitty's bat wings.  The image was then die-cut with Avery Elle Wonky Stitches.

Other die-cuts used were Poppystamps Spider Web Border and Die-Versions Sweet Petites Fall Festival. The sentiment is from a MAMBI kit and I added some cute Halloween embellishments and a strip of black gems, all from my Dollarama stash, including the kit.  The patterned paper is from Doodlebug Ghouls and Goodies 6x6 pad.

Butterfly Tag and Gift Bag

Hello, everyone!  Today I am sharing something a little different!  This is the first time I've made a gift bag and coordinating tag!

I have been wanting to join Mrs. A's Butterfly Challenge lately since I've missed the last few challenges. The theme this fortnight is V for Vases and/or Vanilla plus a Butterfly. I've got all three! At first this theme stumped me - I only have one vase stamp in my stash - so I searched my digital files and found this gorgeous image from Gecko Galz.  It was on their Floral Fantasies Collage Sheet (I believe this sheet is no longer available).

I die-cut the image with Gina Marie Designs Stitched Rectangles and fussy-cut the vase so I could pop it up with foam tape.  I added a couple more layered rectangles and mounted on a die-cut tag (My Favorite Things Stitched Traditional Tag Stax). The cardstock for the tag is Stampin' Up Very Vanilla (my old stash), which I dry embossed with Darice Butterflies. I added two die-cut butterflies (no-name dies from ebay), embellished with purple gems.  The tag is tied with beautiful ribbon that I won in a candy from Brenda last fall (thank you, Brenda!).

The gift bag was made from a 12x12 sheet of patterned paper (K and Company) and I followed the video tutorial here. I added a die-cut butterfly border (Joy Craft) along the bottom, embellished with purple gems.

My tag and bag fit the challenge over at The Unstampabelles, which is Anything But a Card, with a twist of add a tutorial or a link to a tutorial as to how to make the project (I've got both, plus no stamping!).

O-FISH-ally Awesome Mermaid

Hello, everyone!  Before I share today's card, I would like to welcome my newest follower - Barbara Godden - thank you for joining me!  Barb has been a long-time follower on Bloglovin' and just joined on Google!

Today I am sharing a mermaid card! I recently won some gorgeous images from Broken Fairy Designs (thank you!) and I fell in love with this beautiful mermaid called Listening to the Sea. I coloured her with Prismacolor pencils and added Liquid Pearls to the bubbles in her hair.  I added some sparkle to her tail with clear Wink of Stella and some dimension to the shell with Glossy Accents. I've added a close-up below so you can see more of the details.

My card began with an ocean background using blue and green watercolours. I splashed on lots of water droplets to add more of an ocean look and then stamped some fish and bubbles from Newton's Nook clear stamps (Tranquil Tides and Shark Bites). I die-cut this panel with Avery Elle Wonky Stitches. The sentiment is from Create with TLC and it was a freebie at one point (thank you!).  I die-cut the sentiment with Gina Marie Designs Drop Pennant. I finished it off with a number of clear sequins from my stash.

Celebration Candy - 400 Followers / 3 Years of Blogging

Hello, everyone! It's time for a celebration! I made it to 400 followers - Yay! I remember when I was so happy to have 50 followers and now I am humbled to have 400! Thank you to all of my crafty friends who follow my blog!  A special thank you to those who leave such kind comments - I appreciate each and every one!

I am also celebrating 3 years of blogging!  I did not have an opportunity to celebrate the event in June so I'm celebrating now!  Yes, that means two candy giveaways!  Woohoo!
