Glitter n Sparkle DT - Mother's Day

Hello, everyone.  Can you believe it's Sunday already!  Where did the weekend go? Sunday means there's a new challenge starting today over at Glitter n Sparkle Challenge Blog.  Our theme this week is Mother's Day.  No kitty image for me this week LOL.  Actually I chose a Digi Darla's image from my own personal library; it's called "Flower Paper Medley."  What a gorgeous image - I had so much fun colouring this one with my Prismacolor pencils.  I really miss Digi Darla's - they had some fabulous images.

Fur-Tastic

Hi, everyone.  I wasn't feeling that great today so I took a little time to have some fun with my crafts.  Several of the items on my card were left over from some other projects so I put them together in a fun way.  No digital stamping today, all traditional stamping.

The cat stamp is from Magenta, one of their out-of-print Cat of the Month stamps named "Camille" from April 2009.  She was coloured with pencils and fussy-cut; she had been left over from a previous project so I decided it was time to put her on a card.  The other stamp used was the sentiment stamp from Penny Black Nine Lives clear stamps set.  The patterned paper is from Victoria and Albert Museum (won this in some candy).  The grass die-cut is from LaLa Land Crafts.  Flower punch is EK Success, and the butterflies and gems are from Dollarama.  The die cuts were all leftovers from other projects as well.

2 Christmas Cards

Hi, everyone.  I hope you are having a great day!  I made a couple Christmas cards so I could play along in a few challenges. I am sharing both cards in one blog post because Sarn has requested this for her Rudolph Day challenge over at Stamping for Pleasure.  *** Scroll down to see Card #2 ***

Card #1
For my first card, I've used this lovely Christmas Paper from Digi Stamps 4 Joy - they are having a monthly progressive challenge over there for Christmas cards, and this paper is the March image.  I printed it on some freebie digital paper from Papercraft Inspirations and doodled stitching around the edge.  The Christmas Paper was a little plain on its own so I added the cute snowman image from Fresh Brewed Designs called Snow in Love.  

Fresh Brewed Challenges is having a Monthly Blog Candy Link-up Challenge (see prize below), and I wanted to play along there too.  I coloured the little snowman with my Prismacolor pencils and added Stickles along the snow.  I used a number of layers for this card, embossed one of the panels with Cuttlebug Swiss Dots, and added Liquid Pearls on three of the corners.

For my second card, I wanted something fairly quick.  My time is pretty limited these days with my upcoming move, so I recycled a kitty image from an old Christmas card, added gold-embossed velvet snowflake ribbon and some gems, and voila.

Deedee's Digis DT - My Life is Blessed

Hello, everyone.  Yes, my life is truly blessed!  One of my many blessings is being a member of the wonderful design team over at Deedee's Digis.  Today I am sharing a card I made using Deedee's My Life is Blessed set.  I made this card especially for a friend to let her know I've been thinking about her.  I just mailed it out this morning - I hope she likes it!

I fussy-cut just the hummingbird and popped it up with foam tape. The lovely digital patterned paper is also from Deedee's My Life is Blessed set.  Here's a look at everything you get with this set:
