The Birth of Christ - Day 1 Scripture Writing

Hello, everyone. Surprise! Long time, no see. I don't make many cards any more, but I have another hobby called scripture writing that I would like to share with you this month.  It's just as it says, writing scriptures from the Bible.  A scripture-writing plan is provided at the beginning of each month and then I look up the verse in the Bible and handwrite it in my journal.  There are many Bibles to choose from, but I prefer the Authorized King James Version.

Since December's plan is "The Birth of Christ," I thought it would be fun to share my journal for those who are interested in reading what the Bible says.

Below is my plan for December, so these are the scriptures I will be handwriting and sharing. The plan is from Deanna's Printables Facebook Group.  There are other scripture writing plans there, but I chose the birth of Christ:

Below is Day 1 in my journal, where I wrote the first scripture on the list, Isaiah 7:14, which is a prophecy about Christ's birth. In the Bible, prophecy is a message from God, delivered through a human prophet, that can include foretelling future events. In this case, the prophet was Isaiah, and the prophecy was given about 700 years before Christ's birth.  The name Immanual means "God with us."

I like to add printables from my digital stash to make the page more interesting:
  • Illustrations and word art - Deanna's Printables Facebook Group
  • Typed text - The Trucking Scribe
  • Label - Antique Images
  • Title Square - Self-made
  • Number - Vintage Glam Studio
Challenge:

Thank you for being here.  Question -  Is this type of content of interest to you?  Please let me know in the comments.  Wishing you a wonderful day!

Hi Kitty! It’s so good to see you back on your blog. I absolutely love the scripture writing idea. I’ve heard it said that when we write down scriptures, we remember them so much better than just reading them, even if it is over and over. Plus, it’s so nice to have something to look back on too. I love how you’ve included your digital images. Thanks so much for thinking of us at Word art Wednesday. We’re glad that you played along!
