Baking Spirits Bright

Hello, everyone!  Before I get started, I would like to welcome my newest follower - Bonnie Lynn /  StampinInTheLight - thank you for joining me!

Beccy's Month of Holiday Cards continues to inspire me!  I've been making lots of holiday cards this month, and today I have another one to share with you!  This one features a new set from Beccy's Place called Making Merry.  For Beccy's challenge, my alphabet letter is E for Elf.

There are three elves in this set, and I am featuring Elwyn.  Although lately I have been colouring my images, for this card I went with the pre-coloured version because I already liked how he was coloured.  I fussy-cut the image and popped him up on foam tape.

I made a little North Pole kitchen baking scene!  The Oven Shaker is Designed by Rex and can be made into a shaker.  Next time!  It was fun to paper-piece, and I adhered tiny gingerbread sequins inside the oven. The floor die is from Penny Black and the sentiment/sign banner is a digital from LOTV Digi Shop on etsy.  I coloured the outline of the sentiment with a red marker and added a sparkly red bow.

I would also like to join the following challenges:

Gnome and Ginger

Hi again!  One last card for today (I think!).  You might remember my previous gnome card, and now I've made another one!  He's the same gnome, fussy-cut from the 12x12" patterned paper pad that I bought at Dollarama.  There were two sheets of each pattern so, of course, I had to make a second gnome card.

This time my gnome is joined by a little gingerbread man with a cheeky look on his face!  The ginger was cut from the same paper pad, different sheet.  The background paper is also from the same pad so although I was doubtful about this purchase, at least I've used some of the sheets already.  I added a snowy landscape die-cut, a stamped and die-cut sentiment (Simon Says Stamp Christmas Word Mix 1 stamp and die), some Star Dust Stickles on the white parts of their hats. and I also stamped a little steam coming from the gnome's cup (Newton's Nook Cup of Cocoa).  I was not a fan of gnomes before making the two cards but I think I am warming up to them!

Recycled Coffee Sleeve

Hello, everyone!  I'm back again today to share a coffee-themed holiday card in neutral colours, suitable for a man.  I don't care for this card as I prefer more colour, but I thought I would try it.  That being said, I was inspired to use the festive coffee sleeve that came with Brian's coffee at A&W.  I do enjoy recycling!  Then I found the digital Sketched Coffee Cup from STAMPlorations that I thought would work with it.

First I trimmed the coffee sleeve to the size of the image and used an oval die (Nellie's Multiframes) to achieve the right shape.  I paper-pieced the coffee cup with polka dot paper from Pixel Scrapper and I doodled stitching around the recycled coffee sleeve with a fine-liner.  I stamped the sentiment (STAMPlorations Joys of the Season) in brown on a cream panel, layered onto brown cardstock, and then adhered the coffee cup.  I added a punched snowflake for fun!

I didn't get a photo of this A&W coffee sleeve before I cut it, but here are some others I have for future cards.  I will use more vibrant colours next time!

Oh, Snap - Slimline Card

Hi, everyone!  Here's another holiday card!  This one features gingerbread cookies again!  They are just so cute; I can't help myself!  For this card, I have used stamps from Newton's Nook Designs.  The slimline die is Catherine Pooler Slimline Essentials, which I used on dark kraft cardstock.

I stamped Newton's Nook Ginger Snap (sorry I think this stamp is retired; sad face) three times and coloured them all with markers, each one a bit different. I fussy-cut and added some dots with a white paint pen.  Did you notice I "snapped off" one of the gingers' legs?  I adhered foam tape to the gingers and adhered them onto mini cupcake liners that I found at Dollarama this week.  I flattened out the cupcake liners by running them through my Cuttlebug.  They are still a bit wrinkly but I think that adds to the charm!

I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set on green cardstock and used a Lawn Fawn speech bubble stamp and die.  I wanted to add some coffee because gingerbread and coffee go perfectly together!  Yum!  I made the cup tiny as if the gingers would be drinking it haha.  I used the tiny coffee cup stamp from Newton's Nook Sending Hugs, which I coloured and fussy-cut.  I also added a leftover heart from another Newton's Nook stamp (Smitten Kittens).  I finished the card with three punched snowflakes in green (Recollections punch).

My colour combo was inspired by Newton's Nook Inky Paws Challenge 161, which is a colour challenge (red, dark green, light green, and brown).

Sweet Holiday Wishes

Hello, everybody!  I made another holiday card and it's a shaker!  Again I included a gingerbread cookie!  I'm obsessed with gingers!

I used one of the images from a new digital set from Beccy's Place called Christmas Cheers.  Before printing, I digitally added the cute gingerbread man from Beccy's Place Gingerbread set so that he's peeking out from behind the cup.  I coloured the image with markers, fussy-cut, and added some dots with a white paint pen.

The die-cut is Avery Elle Oval Burst, and I added lots of sequins and snowflake sequins to the shaker.  The white background panel is embossed with Die'sire Embossalicious Let it Snow.  The sentiment is also from Beccy's Place Christmas Cheers, and I added colour to some of the letters with a red marker. I finished the card with three red snowflake sequins.

Purrfectly Perfect Holiday

Hi, everyone!  Yes, my insomnia continues!  Today it was 2:45 a.m. so lots of time for crafting!  Here I'm sharing another holiday card in non-traditional colours.  This one is a shaker!  I tried the edge-to-edge shaker technique with the image and it seemed to work okay.  This fun kitty with her big cup is a rubber stamp from Unity Stamps by Angie Blom called Purrfectly Perfect.  I bought this stamp during Unity's big sale in conjunction with the Cat Lovers Hop in October.

I coloured the image with markers and die-cut with a stitched rectangle and layered onto a scalloped stitched rectangle (both dies from Gina Marie Designs).  It was fun to colour the cat pink!  I doodled some snowflakes on the up with a white paint pen.

For the sentiment, I didn't have any Unity Stamps Christmas vertical greetings that would work with this layout so I used a sticker from STAMPlorations Tis the Season Clear Stickers.  The pink cardstock is embossed with Darice Snowflakes, and I finished the card by adhering three purple sequins.

Teacup Kitty

Hello, everybody!  Today I'm sharing another holiday card, and I used non-traditional colours again.  This card features an adorable vintage rubber stamp from Unity Stamps by Graciellie Designs called Sweet Tea Kitty

The image is very detailed but I did some light colouring with markers and doodled some snowflakes on the teacup with a white paint pen.  The decorative frame behind the image is from InLoveArts Shop, and the sentiment is from Unity Stamps May Your Days be Merry and Bright.  I have only the sentiment from this set, so I think it was a gift or prize at some point (thank you!).  The patterned paper is from Maggie Holmes, and I finished the card by adding three punched snowflakes (Recollections punch).
