Candy Cane Kitty

Hi, everyone!  Last month I did not achieve my goal of two winter holiday cards, so my plan this month is to make three.  Here is the first - I'm starting early!

My card began by stencilling a music background in black on Bristol Smooth and then I stencilled a scrap strip in coral.  I adhered thin strips in black and mint along the edge of the coral, cut from scraps.  I coloured the candy cane kitty with markers, fussy-cut, and adhered to a mini doily with foam tape.  I heat-embossed a sentiment in white on a black scrap and die-cut two tiny hearts from scraps.

Warm Wishes Deer

Hi, everyone!  I know it's spring, but I like to make at least two winter holiday cards each month.  This is my first for April, and I went with a CAS card.

TMS 552 - Tuesday Morning Sketches

Hello, everybody!  We have a new sketch for you this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches!  I decided to make a fun and uplifting card - I hope it brightens your day!

This fun image is Limited Runs Stamps - Springtime Monster and it's the monthly image for the Limited Runs Stamps Facebook Group - Progressive Challenge 36.  This month the image was free (thank you, Nikki!).  I coloured it with markers, fussy-cut, and then added Glossy Accents to the eyes.  I used papers from Doodlebug and BoBunny, along with a few dies (Gina Marie Designs Stitched Circle, Lawn Fawn Grassy Border, and unknown brand smile word and flower border).  I stamped a sentiment from The Greeting Farm and finished off the card by adhering gems to the flower centers.

Another Thinking of You

Hi, everyone!  I seem to be on a bird kick lately, and today's thinking-of-you card features a hummingbird.

I coloured the image (Scribbles Designs Leaf Doodle 4) with markers and fussy-cut. I adhered the image to an embossed white panel.  I adhered the hummingbird (Gina Marie Designs) on foam tape.  Finally I stamped the sentiment, fussy-cut, and adhered with foam tape.

Bird on Cup - Thank You

Hi, everyone!  Today I'm sharing another bird-themed card and this time the bird has landed on a floral coffee cup.  The butterflies like it too!

This beautiful cup image is a freebie from STAMPlorations - Coffee Bloom Prints (thank you, Shery!).  I coloured it with markers and fussy-cut so I could pop it up on foam tape. I stencilled sun rays on the background.with Distress Oxide and die-cut with a stitched rectangle. I adhered a die-cut bird and punched butterflies and then stamped a sentiment. I mounted the rectangle on a grey panel and then a yellow card base.

Thinking of You

Hello, everybody!  Today I'm sharing a bird-themed card. I wanted a spring vibe so I also included raindrops, flowers, and butterflies.

I began by creating a background using the watercolour ink-smooshing technique and Distress Oxides.  I stencilled the raindrops and stamped the flowers and butterflies using Distress Oxide.  I die-cut the inky panel with a stitched rectangle and adhered the die-cut birds.  I stamped the sentiment and mounted the rectangle on a grey panel and then a white card base.

TMS 551 - Tuesday Morning Sketches

Hi, everyone!  We have a new sketch to inspire you this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches!  This is a fun sketch so I made a fun card!  I hope it brightens your day!

This image is Beccy's Place Poultry in Motion, and it makes me giggle.  Who hasn't felt like this in the morning?  I went with the precoloured image and fussy-cut so I could pop it up on foam tape.  I stamped a sentiment from Newton's Nook Caffeinated Cats on a white scrap, adhered the chicken, and doodled faux stitching around the rectangle.  I die-cut a bunch of stitched fishtail banners from my scraps and adhered them behind the rectangle. I added a die-cut tab with a punched heart on a stitched coffee bean-embossed background (Elizabeth Crafts).

For the Snippets challenge, here are the scraps I used to die-cut my fishtail banners.  Happily I was finally able to use and discard some of these snippets!
