Pair of Sympathy Cards

Hi, everyone!  Today I'm sharing a pair of sympathy cards.  These are always hard to make so I like to have a few on hand ahead of time.

The hydrangea image is from Gecko Galz Dream Garden Collage Sheet, but my card began with the stamped background. The floral stamp is STAMPlorations Blossom Sprays 1, and I stamped it on each of the two white card bases with coordinating ink colours.

The sympathy sentiment is from Clearly Besotted.  I layered the collage sheet image on a coordinating cardstock square and adhered it to the stamped card base with foam tape.

Coffee Cat Postcard

Hello, everyone!  Before I get started, I would like to welcome my newest follower - aussie aNNie - thank you for joining me!  Today I am sharing a postcard!  This is the first time I've made one, and it measures 4" x 6".  I thought a fun theme for my postcard would be a coffee-drinking kitty!

The adorable image is Gerda Steiner's Coffee Cat, which I coloured with markers and fussy-cut. I used some of my scraps on this postcard!  First I tore a scrap of green patterned paper (from my old stash), and then I tore a piece of kraft paper that arrived as packing material inside a parcel.  I didn't want to waste it!  I stamped the kraft scrap repeatedly with coffee beans (Newton's Nook) in Brushed Corduroy Distress Oxide.  I stamped more of the coffee beans along the left-hand side of the postcard, along with a cute Repeat Impressions Feline Post stamp in black.  Lastly I stamped a sentiment (Newton's Nook).

Here's a photo showing the back, where I stamped the postcard and cancellation stamp from The Artistic Stamper Carte Postale by Katy Fox.  I also adhered a cat postage stamp.  I'll be mailing my postcard this week to congratulate Crafting Vicky, who is celebrating 10K subscribers on her YouTube channel.  She asked for postcards and I was inspired to make one!

TMS 544 - Tuesday Morning Sketches

Hi, everyone!  It's Tuesday and we have a brand new sketch for you at Tuesday Morning Sketches!  I had fun with this one and I hope you will too!  I'm working ahead on my winter holiday cards, but this sketch will work for any occasion.

This adorable image is We Are 3 Digital Shop - Snow Bunny, and I went with the pre-coloured version. I fussy-cut the image so I could pop her up on foam tape and added Star Dust Stickles to her tail and pompom. I recently won a prize from We Are 3 Digital Shop (thank you, Bonnie!) and I was excited to get this cutie onto a card! The pink paper is from Crate Paper, and the rest are all We Are 3 Digital Shop - Woodland Christmas. I used a number of dies: Gina Marie Designs Stitched Ovals, Simon Says Stamp Stitched Squares, Nellie's Decorative Ovals, and Poppystamps Lovely Gift Bow.  Inside the oval, I hand-cut a snowy landscape for the bunny to sit on. The fun musical sentiment is from Vintage Glam Studio and was part of a freebie set last year. I finished the card by adhering three iridescent snowflake sequins.

Here's our Sketch 544, designed by Melissa; I rotated the sketch to suit the image.  I'm looking forward to seeing what you make!

Here's another photo of my card so you can see how the colour changes on the iridescent snowflakes:

Recycled Kitty

Hello, everyone!  Today I am sharing a winter holiday card!  This one features a kitty that I recycled from an old Christmas card.  I added Star Dust Stickles to his cap!

The patterned paper is from Lawn Fawn.  I added a die-cut ribbon bow along the top (Gina Marie Designs).  The sentiment is from Vintage Glam Studio and was part of a freebie set last year.  The red glitter cardstock is from Darice, and I finished off the card with three red snowflake sequins and a white snowflake sequin adhered to the bow.

My card design was inspired by Week 598 at Sketch Saturday:

Cocoa Bear Shaker

Hi, everybody!  I'm back with another winter holiday card!  This one is a shaker!

This cute little bear with his cocoa mug is Gerda Steiner - Warm Fuzzies Bear and I coloured him with markers.  I stamped a sentiment from SugarPea Designs - Sweet Treats Christmas below the bear.  I layered the bear on a stitched banner die-cut from pink glitter cardstock as well as a strip of the same cardstock, according to the sketch below. The patterned paper is from Crate Paper Bundled Up.  I added lots of colourful sequins inside the shaker and then finished off the card by adding a puffy sticker (cocoa cup) and three red snowflake sequins.

My card design was inspired by Card Sketch 164 at Sketch-N-Scrap, designed by sketch artist and owner Lisa:

Cocoa Mouse

Hello, everyone!  Today I'm sharing a winter holiday card!  I'm already ahead of my goal of two per month!

The cute cocoa mouse is Sweet n Sassy Stamps - Sweet Cocoa Digital Stamp.  I die-cut the image with a stitched circle (Gina Marie Designs) and then coloured it with markers.  I layered the image with a die-cut stitched scalloped circle (Gina Marie Designs) in red glitter cardstock.  The patterned paper is Crate Paper Bundled Up.  I stamped a sentiment (Newton's Nook Cup of Cocoa) on a die-cut fishtail banner.  Lastly I embellished with three heart-shaped rhinestones.

My card design was inspired by the February sketch challenge at Sweet n Sassy Stamps VIP Group (tag #SNSSVIP0220):

TMS 542 - Tuesday Morning Sketches

Hello, everybody! Before I get started, I would like to welcome my newest follower - Krazy Krafties - thank you for joining me!  If you could please leave a link to your blog in the comments, I will hop over and follow you too!

It's Tuesday so that means we have another sketch for you at Tuesday Morning Sketches!  We continue with the Design Team choosing their favourite sketches from 2019, and this week Patti has chosen TMS 512, designed by Melissa.  It's a fun sketch, so I hope you'll be inspired to join us!

I decided to make another winter holiday card!  This adorable kitty image is Bugaboo Stamps - Meowy Christmas. I always enjoy images with three cats because I like to colour them to look like our three cats!  I used markers and then fussy-cut so I could pop up the image on foam tape.  I also added Star Dust Stickles to the kitty's hat.

Behind the kitties is a little snowy hill, die-cut from white glitter cardstock with Poppystamps Stitched Landscapes. I adhered snowflake-patterned paper for the sky. I die-cut a scalloped stitched rectangle (Waltzingmouse Stamps) from red glitter cardstock to frame the kitties, and added two die-cut banners per the sketch. The patterned paper is from Echo Park I Love Winter. The white panel has been embossed with Die'sire Embossalicious Let it Snow, and I stamped a sentiment from Poppystamps Cup of Cheer, colouring the heart with a red marker. I outlined the white panel and the banners with a silver paint pen.

Here's our Sketch 512 for TMS 542 - I'm looking forward to seeing your cards!
