Butterfly Pop-up

Hello, everyone!  Before I get started I would like to welcome my newest follower - Artsystamper (Beverly) - thank you for joining me!

I have another holiday card to share, but this one is all about butterflies and it has a pop-up feature!

I went with traditional red and green and used foil and glitter cardstock. I received these layering dies in friend mail and this is the first time I've used them. It's a lot of die-cutting, but the nice thing is that there are a lot of left-over butterflies that punched out that I can save for future projects!  I stamped a sentiment from Your Next Stamp and added a number of red gems in the centers of the butterflies.

I was inspired by Mrs. A's Butterfly Challenge, where the theme is "P" for Pop-up Card plus butterflies. She provided a tutorial here, and I went with the easier version 2.  It was not easy to get a good photo so I took a few.

Over at Beccy's Place and her Month of Holiday Cards, Day 10 was Non-Holiday Stamps, but I went with Non-Holiday Dies.

I would also like to support the following challenges:

Thank you for looking at my card!  Wishing you a joyful day!

  8. I love this card Kitty, the nesting dies are fabulous! It's such a pretty way to layer the shapes, and the colours you chose are wonderful. Although it's a lot of work, it was definitely worth the effort. The pop-up section of the card is fantastic and I love that you've embellished it with some of the butterflies from the front. Clever!
    Cheers,
