Recycled Winter Scene

Hello, everybody!  I continue to play along over at Beccy's Place in her Month of Holiday Cards! This annual challenge is lots of fun and full of holiday inspiration!  I hope you'll check it out!  Beccy is very generous with prizes - thank you, Beccy!

It's an Alphabet Challenge and I'm revisiting "R" and this time I'm going with recycle.  This snowy scene is recycled from an old commercial Christmas card that a family member received and saved for me to use for this purpose. I love giving it a new life!  The image features a group of boys playing hockey so I think this will be a good card for my nephew.

I overlaid the image with Find It Trading Amy Design Wintertide Frame Die, and added a die-cut Let it Snow greeting. This was a quick and easy card!

I would also like to support the following challenges:
Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas AG Optional "R" (rrecycle) UE
Cute Card Thursday Winter UE
Simon Says Stamp Monday Recycle

Thank you for looking at my card! Wishing you a joyful day!

  6. What a great idea! I have a die very similar and never quite know what to do with it, but I had to have it because it was so nice :-)
    Beautiful winter card, my friend.

  8. What an awesome way to upcycle an old card Kitty, I just LOVE this! The winter scene in the background makes a beautiful base to work on, but I'm most impressed with your idea to add another scene on top... it looks fabulous! The snowflakes and the little winter village are lovely. I really like the skates hanging from the lamp post as well. The addition of the die cut sentiment is what really brings this card together. Beautiful!
    Cheers,
