Hi, everyone! Today is my fourth day as a "Growing in Unity Girl"! Each day this week, Monday to Friday, I have been sharing a card made with my Unity Stamp Co. stamps. You can scroll back to see my previous cards if you like. There's a giveaway, so please join me each day to see what I made! Here's today's card:
I stamped the kitty from Unity Stamp - Nine Lives, fussy-cut, and coloured with markers. I layered the kitty onto some scraps of a crumpled brown paper bag and a rescued inky background, and then onto an old book page. The edges of the paper bag and book page have been inked with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.
The background was created with Distress Oxide Sprays (Mowed Lawn, Shabby Shutters) and some splattered black acrylic paint. It was made for another card that turned into a disaster so I rescued it for this card. It was too nice to waste, even if only scraps were remaining. I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set on a white scrap, cut into a banner shape, added faux stitching with a black fineliner, and adhered. Lastly I adhered three punched green polkadot butterflies, each with a black gem in the center.
I'm having a lot of fun this week with my Unity Stamp Co. stamps! Tomorrow is my final day as a Growing in Unity Girl so I hope you'll join me again!
Would you like to win a $20 gift credit to Unity Stamp Co.? Make sure to come back each day this week to see what I create with my Unity stamps and then comment on all five of my Growing in Unity posts to be included in the giveaway! Deadline for comments is 5PM EDT, Sunday, March 20. There will be two lucky winners!

ReplyDeleteI love his green eyes! Love your snippets! A paper bag is such a good idea.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute kitty card. Love your big beautiful IRL kitty in pic on the Unity page
ReplyDeleteYour card makes me smile. Love the kitten image and the torn edges of your design papes against the background patterned word paper and great sentiment. My kitty loves to chew the edges of design papers and usually those edges are cut and thrown away. You got me to thinking maybe if she gets a little more experience on torn edges we can use it on a card... lol. Love your card and thanks for sharing with us at Double Trouble.
ReplyDeleteAnother great card, Kitty! Love the paper tearing and cute feline. Debi
