Holiday Wishes - Tuesday Morning Sketches #528

Hello, everybody!  Today I'm excited to announce that I've joined the Design Team at Tuesday Morning Sketches!  Yay!  I enjoy sketches and find them so inspiring - I hope you do too and will hop over and join our challenge!

Tuesday Morning Sketches

Tuesday Morning Sketches has a sketch for you each Tuesday, and I will be providing inspiration bi-weekly, sharing the Design Team position with one of my favourite crafty friends... you'll have to check back next week at Tuesday Morning Sketches to find out who she is!

I liked this week's sketch as soon as I saw it!  It's a fun one and can be used for a variety of occasions, but I knew right away I wanted to make a festive holiday poinsettia card!

I die-cut the poinsettia and leaves (Poppystamps Small Blooming Poinsettia) in red, green, and gold foil posterboard.  The patterned paper scrap is from K and Company, and I embossed the beige panel with Couture Creations Sugarplum Ball.  The sentiment stamp is from Hero Arts, stamped with Your Next Stamp Holly Berry Red, and I finished off my card with a number of red, green, and gold sequins.

Here's this week's sketch, designed by Debbie - Sketch 528:

I would also like to support the following challenges: Allsorts Make Your Own Flowers 1/3; Beccy's Place A Month of Holiday Cards (jumping ahead to F for Festive Foliage) UE; Crafts Galore Encore November AG 2/3; Crafty Friends AG 2/3; Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas AG Optional Letter H (holiday wishes) UE; Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper November UE; Dragonfly Dreams Christmas/Winter; Penny's Paper-Crafty AG 3/3;Simon Says Stamp Wednesday AG 5/5; The 12 Months of Christmas Link-up AG Christmas Optional Red and Green 4/10; The Outlawz Festive Friday Christmas UE; Word Art Wednesday 410-411 AG w Uplifting Sentiment wk2 5/5; Your Scrapbook Place AG 2/3

  4. Ooooh, what a pretty card! Great idea to cut the poinsettia from mirror card KT, it's gorgeous. I also like the background you made, the split between the patterned paper and plain card stock looks great and I love the addition of the embossing to bring it all together. Lovely!
    Cheers,

  27. Wow did I miss this? Congratulations on your DT spot I love Tuesday Morning sketches, Your card is gorgeous I probably didn't notice it because it didn't have a Kitty on it lol. I usually check on Monday on facebook. That sketch is perfect for a poinsettia and I might just have to try it, but not for the challenge I quite often use past TMS for my cards.
