Heart Kitty Shaker Card

Hi, everyone!  Today I'm sharing a shaker card that I made for Brian for Valentine's Day from the kitties! I love this month's digi from Gerda Steiner Designs called Love You Kitten!  I received the kitten image for free because I joined Gerda's challenge last month - it's a progressive challenge! I copied the kitten image and made three of them so I could stack them one on top of the other - I did this digitally. I've been enjoying the trend of stacking animals and I wanted to try it!  I coloured the kittens with Prismacolor pencils so they would look like our kitties, and then fussy-cut.


I was inspired by the colour challenge over at Cupcake Inspirations:



For the background I used the watercolour smooshing technique with Worn Lipstick Distress Ink. I stamped the xoxo sentiment (Clearly Besotted) three times on the watercolour panel and then embossed it with Cuttlebug Cross Your Heart.  I filled the shaker with all kinds of hearts and sequins from my stash. The frame was die-cut with Waltzingmouse Stamps Scalloped Stitched Rectangles and Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles,

    Oh, Kitty, you always stunning me! Such a delightful shaker card! These three cute kitten are just ADORABLE!!! They seem really your three furry babies! And you have made this with a single digi! So creative! The shaker is just perfect to show these sweeties. I love so much your inking, such a lovely background!!! And the sentiment looks great on it! Fab stitched frame, too, so shining! Brian will smile surely for this sweet card, he will love it!

    Your Kitty Valentine shaker card is wonderful, KT! Brian will smile and be appreciative- it's fun using those incredible shiny metallic papers, and the frame is gorgeous in that die cut. Will he want 3 kittens to help stave away the cold during your chilly Canadian winter days? I've been very much enjoying your sweet shaker cards! XO
