Celebrate with Cake

Hello, everyone! Before I share my card, I would like to welcome my newest follower - Carrie Sheridan - and my new Bloglovin' follower - Jo-Elaine Castrovinci - thank you both for joining me!

One of my goals for 2016 is to make more masculine birthday cards and more masculine cards in general. I set this goal last year but failed miserably so I'm trying harder this year! Here's a masculine birthday card I made with a delicious pre-coloured image from Limited Runs called Triple Cake. I added Glossy Accents to the cherry, nuts, and syrup.  It's so yummy looking!

The sentiment is a clear stamp from Avery Elle - Cake and Candles.  I followed the sketch over at Tuesday Morning Sketches:

You know I had to add a kitty! The kitty is heading for the cake hehe!  Die-cuts used were Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles and Impression Obsession Cat Set. I added a strip of wide red glitter tape and a few brown sequins.

There are Chocolate Cake Day challenges at Die-Cuttin' Diva's and The Outlawz Festive Friday so I'm joining there, as well as these other fun challenges:

Challenges:  As You Like It Favourite One or Multi Layer (I prefer multi-layer cards because the cards seem more substantial and not flimsy) 1/3; Beccy's Place January AG UE; Craft Rocket Clean and Simple 1/3; Craft Your Passion AG 2/3; Crafty Friends Animals/Birds 1/3; Crafty Gals Corner AG 2/2; Creative Card Crew AG 2/3; Creative Inspiration AG Option Sketch UE; DL.ART January AG UE 1/day; DRS Designs Sparkle and Shine (glitter tape) UE; Dragonfly Journeys Soft Kitty, Warm Kitty UE; Glitter n Sparkle Say it With Music (Happy Birthday); Inspiration Destination AG UE; Jo's Scrap Shack AG 2/3; Limited Runs Customer Gallery UE; Mod Squad Masculine Birthday UE; Not Just Cards AG UE; Penny's Paper-Crafty Celebrations (Birthday) 2/3; Send a Smile 4 Kids Birthday Fun 4 Kids 1/3; Simon Says Stamp Wednesday AG 2/5; Suzy Bee's Bloomin' Add an Animal UE; Sweet Stamps AG UE; The Corrosive New Resolutions for 2016 (as mentioned - more masculine cards) 1/3; Tuesday Throwdown AG 2/3

Thank you for looking at my card!  Wishing you a joyful day!
