Today I'm taking part in the Light It Up Blue for Autism Awareness Blog Hop! I wanted to take part because I have a friend whose son has autism and also to support some crafty friends whose lives have been touched by it. I think more information and awareness about autism will benefit everyone. If you would like to know more about it, please check out Autism Speaks or Autism Speaks Canada.
So many fantastic sponsors have shown their support for Autism Awareness, and you can see the complete list here. If you would like a chance to win a prize from one of these fabulous companies, please leave a comment on my blog, and any of the other blogs participating in today's hop! Winners will be chosen at random and will be announced on Monday, April 6.
I needed an anniversary card so I decided to create one for today's hop! I sponged Faded Jeans, Salty Ocean, and Tumbled Glass Distress Inks using a gorgeous flower stencil. I spritzed water from about 18 inches away to add a textured look. I heat embossed the sentiment from Newton's Nook Simply Sentimental with Aegean Silver (The Artful Stamper) on a vellum scrap. I finished off the card with a few blue sequins.
Now please head over to the Light it Up Blue for Autism Awareness Blog Hop to see all the wonderful blue inspiration - you might even win a fabulous prize! Happy Hopping!
