Lost Coast Designs - 50 Shades of Green - Readers Blog Hop Giveaway

Hello, everyone!  Today I'm participating in Lost Coast Designs - 50 Shades of Green - Readers Blog Hop Giveaway over at Lost Coasters Review.  I hope you will go looking through your crafty stash, dig out your Lost Coast Designs or Carmen's Veranda stamps, and join in the fun! You could win a $20 gift certificate to spend at Lost Coast Designs!  All the details can be found here.

For my card, I used one of the fun kitties from the Party Cat Hat Set, stamped in Versafine Onyx Black. That's the only non-green colour on my card!  I think this card would be great for one of my brothers so I kept it masculine.

I started by inking a background using Forest Moss, Peeled Paint, and Crushed Oliver Distress Inks. Then I created a stencil from Die-versions Summer Flowers Background die, soaked it with water and pressed it onto my background.  I think it was a complete failure because you can't really see the outline as the water took over but, hey, I tried LOL. Then I splattered more water and DI onto the backgound.  I added a few fun die cuts in green cardstock: Tattered Lace Everday Sentiments, Simon Says Stamp stitched stars, Poppystamps Simple Banner, and the tiny stars from Lawn Fawn's Stitched Journaling Card.

My "Party Hat Cats" stamps

Now I hope you'll check out all the inspiration at the 50 Shades of Green hop and join in yourself! The InLinkz should appear at the bottom of my blog post.

I would also like to support these fun challenges:
