For my card I used the colour inspiration from Cupcake Inspirations (see below) and dry embossing and washi tape inspiration from The Friday Mashup, specifically Challenge 126 - Option 1 - Washi Tape and Challenge 84 - Option 1 - Dry Embossing.
You know how I love kitties, so I was excited to see this month's progressive challenge image from Gerda Steiner Designs called Kitten and Chicks. It is so cute - thank you, Gerda! I coloured the image with my Prismacolor pencils and used Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to make the sky using a cloud die-cut as a template. The fun sentiment is from My Creative Time's Color Me Happy clear stamps. I layered the image onto yellow and then white cardstock and tied some green string around one side. I mounted it on a card that was dry embossed with Couture Creations One World. I added three green pearls, some washi tape, and a cute felt bunny.

ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect sentiment for this card! It's so cute and playful! And yes, the bit about the rocks and squirrels is true. If you sit still and click the rocks together very quickly, it imitates squirrel chatter and they will usually come chatter back at you.

ReplyDeleteGreat work you made with the background, fabulous embossing and the washi tape with the pearls and the little silouette of the bunny match really fabulous! Also the sky is so lovely! Another thing that I must try is this technique with a cloud die-cut as a template, it's great! Your sky is so soft and spring-like!
