Glitter n Sparkle DT - Include Some Pink

Hello, everybody! Before I share today's card, I would like to welcome my two newest followers - Shirley Tozer and Bonnie Garby - so happy to have you here!

It's Sunday, and that means there's a new challenge starting today over at Glitter n Sparkle Challenge Blog! This week we would like you to Include Some Pink!  I hope you can join us!  Today I'm featuring a beautiful image called Cleopatra from Spellbinding Stamps: The Fantasy Art of Nikki Burnette, which I coloured with my Prismacolor pencils.

I kept the card fairly CAS so the image would be the focal point. I followed the colours over at Colette's Cosmic Colours Challenge (see below).  I used my Simon Says Stamp Bundle of Stitched Shapes to cut the frame from my new patterned paper (S-E-I) and layered it onto another panel of the same paper.  I used the little stitched banner die from the same set, cutting the reverse side of the paper.  I die-cut the sentiment using my new Impression Obsessions Greetings die, layering it four times to give it some dimension.  Lastly I added some 3-D butterflies and three pink sequins.

Please come over and join us at Glitter n Sparkle for our Include Some Pink challenge. We have some fabulous prizes up for grabs again this week, so I hope you'll play along!

I would like to support these fun challenges:

  28. I think this is the first 'Egyptian' image I've ever seen, and I like it! Cleo was always fascinating to read about. Love the way you've done the coloring, and there's some great shading with these pencils. Of course I love the sentiment die! Pretty colors and lovely stitching on the banners. The butterflies were a lovely accent with the earth tones too. TFS & Hugs
