Today I have made a Christmas tag! Over at Ellen Hutson's The Classroom, they're having the 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist event. The challenge is to create a feminine-twist tag inspired by one of their designers' tags. Well I fell in love with Julia Stainton's sled tag (Day 5) the moment I saw it, and I had to try it for myself! She provided detailed instructions, and I was following them so closely that I practically CASE'd the whole thing LOL! Here's my version.
I knew I had the perfect image for my sled! It's called Snowman Ice Skates from Just Some Lines. I coloured it with my Prismacolor pencils, fussy-cut, and popped up with foam tape. There's a Tag It challenge over at the Just Some Lines Facebook Page and I'll link up there as well. I hope you can join me - I love Jehanne's images!
I won't go into the details as to how I made my sled tag, since Julia has provided a wonderful tutorial. Here's a list of the dies I used: Tag (MFT Stitched Traditional Tag Stax), Mittens (Cheery Lynn Christmas Knick Knacks), Scripty Joy (Lawn Fawn), Icicle Edger (Impression Obsession), tag hole (Nellie's Multiframe Circles). The DP is from MME. Ribbon, twine, charm, and glitter tape are all from my stash. Walnut Stain Distress Ink was sponged around the edges of the tag.
