Pink - Because I Care

Hello, everyone.  Today I'm sharing a card I made in honour of Breast Cancer Awareness.  It seems that everyone has been touched by this disease in some way or another. 

 
 
I followed the sketch at Annabelle Stamps (see below) and used their freebie flower image (thank you, Andrea).  On the inside of the card, I used the pre-coloured Hope Ribbon image from Beccy's Place (thank you, Beccy).  I started with a pink card base and added an embossed pink panel.  I coloured the flower image with pencils and mounted on black cardstock.  I stamped the sentiment on pink vellum and attached to the image, which I affixed to the card with foam tape.  Lastly I embellished with six black gems.  For the inside of the card, I printed the hope ribbon and stamped the sentiment in black.  Here are the supplies used:
  • Digi images:   Flower (Annabelle Stamps), Hope Ribbon (Beccy's Place)
  • Stamps:  Sentiments (front - Hero Arts, inside - Kaisercraft)
  • Ink:  StazOn Jet Black, Versafine Onxy Black
  • Coloured pencils:  Prismacolor
  • Embossing folder:  Cuttlebug Textile
  • Cardstock:  Staples, Recollections
  • Vellum, gems:  Dollar store

    Your card is wonderful Kitty, I love the way you coloured the flowers on the front to match with the cardstock, they look great.
    Sadly, I agree that most of us have been touched by breast cancer in some way or another. Let's hope the cure is right around the corner.
