Yoda Birthday Card (for Jonas)

My 8-year-old nephew, Jonas, will be 9 next week - Yay!  Happy Birthday to Jonas!  He loves Star Wars and anything to do with Yoda, so I have made a Yoda birthday card for him.

Inside of Card
To start, I printed a forest image on green cardstock, sponged with black ink, and affixed to a white card base.  I stamped various small landscape elements in brown on torn brown cardstock and affixed to the card.  Next I added a Yoda sticker and a sentiment made with a label maker.  I can't take credit for the creative sentiment - my boyfriend, who's also a Star Wars fan, came up with it.  I finished off the front with two tiny Star Wars stickers.  For the inside of the card, I found a Yoda image through a Google search and added the sentiment in Word.  Here are the supplies used:
  • Digi images:  Forest (Beccy's Place - thank you, Beccy), Yoda graphic (The Art of Animation - thank you)
  • Stamps:  Stampin' Up Scenery Set
  • Ink:  Versafine Onyx Black, Ancient Page Chocolate
  • Cardstock:  Recollections
  • Stickers:  Dalmation Press
  • Label maker:  Dymo

    I must confess that I've never got into Star Wars Kitty so some of the humour has gone over my head. However, I can see that this would be a fantastic card for any Star Wars fan to receive irrespective of whether they are 9 or 900 and there is no doubt but that you put a lot of thought and skill into making this special card I wish Jonas a very happy 9th birthday for next week.
