Happy Bee-day!

Here's a birthday card I just made - all digis today!  I just love this cute little Bumble Bug that's a freebie from Creative Bug on the Loose (thank you, Naomi).  This newest member of Naomi's Summer Bug Brigade is still available as a freebie, but only until August 14, so hurry!  The background bee paper is from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles (thank you, Lisa), and the sentiment is a freebie from Desert Diva (thank you, Hannelie), and I think they both go perfectly with the Bumble Bug.


I printed the bee paper on yellow cardstock and covered a white card base.  I coloured the Bumble Bug with pencils, die cut into a wavy square, mounted on a black wavy square, added Stickles to her wings and yellow dew drops to her antennae, and then mounted on the card with foam tape.  I affixed the sentiment with foam tape and embellished the card with several yellow flowers attached with brads and a yellow rhinestone flower.  Here are the supplies used:

    What a cheerful, card, Kitty, love it, and you are right, the background and sentiment go fab with the bumble bee, who is ever so cute.

    Thank for pointing me to the G&S challenge, the only reason Mimi put that is because it was her backing paper and image I used, and she had never seen them together before, LOL.

    All the elements worked out so perfectly together! Love the sparkles you added to her wings and those gorgeous flowers. I can't get over how different the colours look from the screen to being printed out. The screen colour is more of a creamy tan colour and here it is more of a yellowish colour. Interesting.
