Cold Days Need Hot Cocoa

Hello, everybody!  I still have insomnia and feeling very tired today.  I woke up at 2:30 a.m. and could not get back to sleep.  However, the crafting continues!  Today's card features a gingerbread man and yummy hot drinks using stamps from Newton's Nook Designs.


I stamped Newton's Nook Ginger Snap and Cup of Cocoa, coloured the images with markers and fussy-cut so I could pop them up on foam tape.  I also added details to the cups with a white paint pen.  The brown cardstock is embossed with a snowflake embossing folder and I added a stitched red frame die-cut.  The sentiment is from the Cup of Cocoa set.

My colour combo was inspired by Newton's Nook Inky Paws Challenge 161, which is a colour challenge (red, dark green, light green, and brown).

  4. I'm sorry to hear the insomnia is still going on Kitty, it really leaves you ruined for the next day. I hope it doesn't last too much longer.
    Your card is wonderful, I love the red frame against the brown background, it's a fabulous combination. The little images you chose are very cute, you did a great job with the colouring.

  8. This palette is really warm and festive and absolutely love the images you put in the frame, especially Newton's cup! :D Lovely embossing on the brown cardstock too!
