Mermaid Scene

Hello, everyone!  Today I'm sharing a mermaid card!  For this underwater scene, I used all dies, no stamps.

I used a lot of dies from my stash, too many to list here.  I sponged some Distress Ink on the mermaid's hair and skin, and I layered her tail, bikini, and flower twice to add dimension.  I used a black fineliner to draw her face, following the indentation on the die-cut. I adhered lots of sequins and gems to simulate bubbles.  I had a lot of fun making this card!  Here's another photo at an angle so you can see the sparkle.

The UnstampaBelles has a challenge theme of Magic this month, with a twist of Disney, and I was inspired by The Little Mermaid.

I would also like to support the following challenges: 2 Crafty Critter Crazies AG w Critters 3/5; Ally's Angels 35 AG 2/3; Arty Divas 24 AG 1/5; Cardz TV 117 AG 1/3; Crafter's Castle AG 3/3; Crafty Creations 410 AG 3/3; Creatalicious 189 AG Optional No Design Paper 2/3; Creative Craft Cottage 130 AG 3/5; Creative Fingers 188 AG 2/3; Die Cut Divas Summettime Fun 2/4; Dies R Us Summertime Fun 1/3; DL.ART June AG UE 1/d; Get Creative 92 Fantasy 1/3; Jan's Digi Stamps June AG 4/5; Lil Patch of Crafty Friends AG 1/3; Penny's Paper-Crafty AG 2/3; Scribbles Designs 90 Flip-a-Coin (Tails-3 layers, Heads-rectangular, Tails-gemstones, Heads-glitter, Heads-stash (dies) 1/3; Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Summer Fun 1/5; The Creative Crafters 29 AG 2/3; Virginia's Show and Share June AG 3/4

  19. That's lots of die cutting, my friend! Wonderful scene. My niece has red hair and lives near the ocean and she thought she was the little mermaid when she was little.
