Happy Bee-day

Hello, everyone!  Today I'm sharing a bee-themed card!

I started by stencilling the honeycomb background with Distress Oxide and then I die-cut the white panel with a stitched rectangle.  I stamped the flowers, fussy-cut, and adhered.  I stamped the bees, coloured with markers, fussy-cut, adhered, and applied Stickles to the wings. I heat-embossed the sentiment in white on a black scrap, matted onto a yellow scrap, and then adhered with foam tape.

Clear stamps:  STAMPlorations Blossoms Spray 1 (flowers), Joy Clair Bee Kind (bees), Pink and Main Bee Happy (sentiment)
Die:  Gina Marie Designs Stitched Rectangles
Stencil:  Honey Bee Stamps Hexi Background
Ink:  Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide, Gina K Designs Amalgam, Versamark
Other:  Ranger White embossing powder, Stickles Diamond

  3. I love the color of the yellow ink you've used. I find some yellows so bright. I love how you left the flowers uncolored. A great use of restraint - which I don't have when it comes to card making!!!!

  27. It is stunning how you left the flowers uncolored. I guess I'm too fussy I would have had to color them. I never think outside the box like you did. Awesome job. Thanks for sharing with STAMPlorations Stencil challenge.
