Skatin' by to say Hi

Hello, everybody!  Happy New Year!  Before I share my card, I would like to welcome a new follower - Lynne Everett - thank you for joining me!  If you could please leave a comment with a link to your blog, then I can hop over and follow you too!

Yesterday I started playing along in the Holiday Critters Chaos Challenge over at Bugaboo Stamps - Catch the Bug Challenge Blog, and today I was able to make one more card!  I was inspired by Holiday Chaos Day 6 - Colour Combo.


This adorable image is Bugaboo Stamps - Little Penguin Skate.  I did some colouring and doodling with black and white markers, and added a little pink to his cheek.  I fussy-cut the image so I could pop him up on foam tape. To make the background, I cut strips of coloured cardstock, adhered them to a black panel, and then embossed with Darice Snowflake Background. The sentiment is a clear stamp and I cut it into a banner shape.  Here's the colour inspiration graphic:

  1. Hi Kitty! How creative is this card! Love the colourful stripes with the embossed snowflakes, I have never thought to make this! I have the cute Bugaboo penguin and again I have never thought about drawing doodles on his scarf and skates! Wow! So impressive and adorable!!

  27. I love this! I really like the snowflake embossed background in different colors. I need to be more adventurous like this. We've already won something in the Bugaboo challenge but I hope you were lucky elsewhere too!
