Thinking of You

Hello, everyone!  Today I'm interrupting my month of holiday cards to share some "thinking of you" cards that I made for my mom.  She usually requests either sympathy or thinking of you as those are the two she seems to use the most.

I made a number of cards, but I'll share just five here today.  I like to make them all different so I played around with techniques that aren't my usual style; it's a great way to just have fun!

Card 1
For the first one, I used an older wood-mounted stamp.  I heat-embossed the rose (The Artful Stamper) in silver on patterned vellum and coloured the reverse side with markers.  I stamped the sentiment in black and added a few black gems.

With Card 1, I would like to support the following challenges:
Simon Says Stamp Monday Thinking of You 1/5
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Thinking of You 1/5
Stempelgarden Favourite Stamp (for "thinking of you" it is a flower) 1E
The House That Stamps Built Repeat Impressions DCC N619 ~ Frame It 1/3

Card 2
For card 2, I created an inky background with my Distress Oxides and used some dies from Simon Says Stamp (Stitched Rectangle and Sweet Tulip). I stamped the sentiment in black and added some pink sequins.

With Card 2, I would like to support the following challenges:
Simon Says Stamp Monday Thinking of You 2/5
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Thinking of You 2/5

Card 3
For my third card, I tried some collage.  This is really not my style, but I love trying new things.  For the background, I tore strips of patterned paper, book paper, music paper, etc.  The bird and mushrooms are vellum stickers.  I used a framed label for the stamped sentiment.  The label was part of a free download from a member of the Printables for your Junk Journaling with TLC facebook group (Mary Walden, thank you).

With Card 3, I would like to support the following challenges:
Simon Says Stamp Monday Thinking of You 3/5
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Thinking of You 3/5

Card 4
For card 4, I used stamps and a butterfly sticker.  The flower is Stampendous Agapanthus cluster (mine is an older wood-mounted rubber stamp).  I stamped the sentiment in red and added a butterfly sticker (Dollarama), and three black gems.

With Card 4, I would like to support the following challenges:
Simon Says Stamp Monday Thinking of You 4/5
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Thinking of You 4/5
The Crafter's Cafe Insects/Butterflies 2/5 C11

Card 5
For my fifth card, I used a die-cut sentiment (Altenew) and the eclipse technique.  The background was made with my Distress Oxides. To embellish, I added some white butterfly stickers (Dollarama) and some purple sequins.

With Card 5, I would like to support the following challenges:
Butterfly Challenge Spin the Butterfly Wheel with O (I went with orchid) 2/3
Simon Says Stamp Monday Thinking of You 5/5
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Thinking of You 5/5
The Crafter's Cafe Insects/Butterflies 3/5 C11

Thank you for looking at my cards! Wishing you a joyful day!
