Let it Snow - TMS 530

Hello, everybody!  We have a new sketch for you at Tuesday Morning Sketches!  I really enjoyed this week's sketch and I hope you will too!  Please check out the TMS challenge blog to see what my talented teammates have made!   I am still making winter holiday cards!

I seem to collect deer dies, and this is a fun one! For the circle behind the die-cut, I went with one of my favourite techniques - Distress Oxides on photo paper. I layered several blues using the watercolour ink-smooshing technique and then dried in between each colour. It's best to work from lightest colour to darkest, but I didn't. When finished, it had a dull appearance but when wiped with a baby wipe, it became vibrant like you see here. I first saw this technique on a video here.

For the background of my card, I used scraps from three different snowflake embossing folders (Taylored Expressions Winter Flurry, Die'sire Embossalicious Let it Snow, and Darice Snowflake Background).  The sentiment (Hero Arts) is stamped with Memento Danube Blue, and I finished off the card with three white snowflake sequins.

Here's this week's sketch, created by Andrea - Sketch 530.  I look forward to seeing what you make!
