Mitten Kitten

Hello, everybody!  Here's the second of two winter holiday cards I'm sharing today!  Again, I'm using non-traditional colours and having fun working ahead, hoping to avoid the time crunch in November!

I used my alcohol inks to make this background!  I was inspired by this card although I ended up making two alcohol ink panels, one with reds and pinks, and the other with blues and greens, and then die-cut both panels and paper-pieced.  I love the bright, vibrant colours!

For the sleepy kitty, I kept the colouring to a minimum so it wouldn't compete with the vibrant background.  Instead I doodled a checked pattern on her hat and mitten and added dots to the polka dot area.  I adhered the kitty with foam tape on a vellum snowflake die-cut.  The sentiment was heat-embossed in white on a black scrap. I finished off the card by adding gems and snowflake sequins.

Clear stamp:  Sentiment (Your Next Stamp Waddles Winter Wonderland)
Inks:  Background (Ranger Alcohol Inks in blues, greens, reds, pinks, purples), sentiment (Versamark)
Dies:  Lil Inker Designs Center Point Chevron Cover-up, Stampendous Snowflake Set
Other:  Ranger white embossing powder, Pilot Fineliner for doodling, clear gems, white snowflake sequins
