A Frosty Hello

Hello, everyone!  Today I'm sharing another winter holiday card!  I'm determined to keep making them all year long so there will be no rushing in November!

I made a cool background with Distress Inks using the ink smooshing technique and then applied Snow-Tex through a stencil to create a snowfall look.  I heat-embossed the snowman in white on a die-cut purple tag, added a die-cut snowflake, and stapled tulle at the top of the tag.  The sentiment is heat-embossed in white on a black scrap and then I cut the words apart before adhering them.  Along the bottom of the card is a die-cut snowflake border in white.

  4. You’re off to a great start with your Christmas cards. I’m definitely going to get started this month too. I did pretty good on keeping the cards light weight for postage last year, but must focus on it even more. One gram more and it’s double price.
I love how the background turned out, purple is a favorite color, and great idea to emboss the snowman in white on purple too.
