In May I made some happy mail / flat mail for one of my cat-loving blog friends (you know who you are!). I watched a YouTube tutorial to create the flat mail envelope, which measures about 8 1/4 inches by 5 1/4 inches. The idea of flat mail is to keep the envelope flat and within the size and weight range for international mail to save on postage costs.
The precious kitty face image is a digital from Free Pretty Things for You, which I fussy-cut. I made a gathered crepe paper strip and added a border die-cut (MFT Squiggle Border), a gold doily die-cut, a doily from my stash, and some punched butterflies with gems. The tiny tickets were fussy-cut from a My Minds Eye paper pad, and the little blue kitty rectangle is a small magnetic bookmark that I made. The double-sided patterned paper is from K and Company, and I outlined the entire envelope with a gold paint marker.
I also decorated the back. The precious kitties are a digital from Free Pretty Things for You, which I fussy-cut and layered on a blue doily from my stash.
I am not a digital person, but with these images, I could become one. PRECIOUS!! Love your magnetic bookmark, too!

I had not heard of "flat mail" before, but it makes sooooooo much "cents"!! lol... It would be a challenge to keep it flat enough to fit the criteria. Love all the pretty details you used in yours. The gold on the edges is subtle, but it adds a lot!
