Nautical Scene

Hello, everyone! Today I'm sharing a nautical-themed card I made for a male family member.  I created an ocean background with acrylic paints in shades of blue (first time I've tried this!) and then added several nautical-themed images.

Dies:  Poppystamps Seaside Lighthouses, Poppystamps Stitched Landscapes, double-stitched rectangles
Digital images:  Beccy's Place Smooth Seas (precoloured)
Clear stamp:  Sentiment (Newton's Nook Newton's Summer Vacation)
Acrylic paints:  Dollarama

  16. You've done an awesome job on this one Kitty, that background is fabulous! I was very impressed to read that you'd painted it yourself... I thought it was patterned paper. I love the way you've added the different nautical elements as well as the base card stock that looks like rolling hills. Great job!
    Cheers,

  18. As others noted, you did a great job with your first try at acrylics. I know from experience that creating the feathery look you attained is not easy! Also like the stitched edging on the various pieces. It can be hard to make a nautical card, but you did it splendidly! Thanks for joining us at Penny's Paper Crafting Challenge. DT Kathy
