Masculine Get Well

Hello, everybody!  I'm back again today to share a masculine get-well card.  I made this card for a crafty friend's husband who was going through surgery last month.

I made this card last month so I don't remember all the details.  I do recall using Distress Inks in three or four blue shades and the acrylic block inking technique.  I swiped the ink pads across the acrylic block in an ombre pattern, spritzed with water, and then applied the acrylic block to the watercolour paper.  I let the panel air-dry and then stamped the ship. The die-cut stitched rectangle is popped up on craft foam and adhered to the card base.

The die is Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles, and the sentiment stamp from Clearly Besotted was white heat-embossed on a black scrap.  Sorry there is no name on the ship stamp but I love the detail on this one.

I would like to support the following challenges: Card Mania Nautical 1/3; Cards in Envy Let's Hear it for the Boys 1/3; Craft Stamper Magazine AG Stamping 1/3; Creative Moments AG No Twist 1/3; Cute Card Thursday Sun, Sea or Sand UE; Cuttlebug Mania Frame It 1/3; Fashionable Stamping Seaside 1/3; Get Creative Monochromatic 1/3; Die-Cuttin Diva's Masculine or Father's Day 1/3; Happy Little Stampers Watercolour Optional Smile UE; Joy Clair AG Mood Board UE; Kitty Bee Designs Masculine Cards 1/2; Pammie's Inky Pinkies AG 1/3; Penny's Paper-crafty AG 1/3; Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Frame It 1/5; Stamped Blessings heARTful Stamping AG plus Stamp 1/2; The Artistic Stamper Colour it Blue 1/3; The House that Stamps Built Repeat Impressions Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge ~ J1318 (I chose masculine, heat embossing, and background wash); The Outlawz Festive Fridays FF061518 Get Well 1/3; Word Art Wednesday AG w Uplifting Sentiment 2/5 Wk2
