Silent Night Bear

Hi, everybody!  Today I'm sharing a vintage-style holiday card.  I don't make this style very often, but it's fun to try different styles now and then.

I used a torn music page adhered to a kraft panel as my background. Before doing so, I sponged Distress Ink around the torn edges. I stamped the various trees, holly leaves, and berries repeatedly over the panel.  I also stamped some tiny snowflakes in white but they are barely visible.  I added a strip of torn washi tape along the bottom and a remnant of same vertically at the top left corner.  The vintage teddy bear is from a die-cut pack, and I finished off the card with a few vintage poinsettia stickers.

  • Stamps:  Trees, snowflakes, thin stripe (Paperbabe Stamps Bottle Brush Tree Set), holly, berries (Paperbabe Stamps Reindeer Fusions)
  • Ink:  Ranger Archival Library Geen, Memento Bamboo Leaves and Cottage Ivy, Ancient Page Cardinal, Avery Elle Pure White, Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink
  • Other:  K and Company Vintage Die-cut Pack, music sheet, washi tape, and vintage stickers from my stash

I found inspiration here:
  1. Christmas Crafts All Year Long Flowers (poinsettias) 1/5
  2. Crafter's Castle AG 1/3 C10 (one of my favourite techniques is stamping with colour ink)
  3. Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Optional Inspired by Christmas Carol ("Silent Night") UE
  4. Jingle Belles Spirit of Christmas Past/Vintage UE
  5. Paperbabe Stamps 69 Picture Inspirations (inspired by the green) UE
  6. Rudolph Day March 1E C10
  7. Simon Says Stamp Happy National Craft Month UE and on Facebook
  8. Simon Says Stamp Wednesday AG 2/5
  9. The 12 Months of Christmas Link-up Beary Sweet Christmas FT 1/3
Thank you for looking at my card!  Wishing you a joyful day!
