Quick Card 6 - You're One Cool Cat

Hello again!  This is the final card I made for My Favorite Things - MFT 2018 Creative Olympics, again competing in Event 4 Speed Cardmaking.  For this event, we are asked to make a card in 20 minutes or less.  I used the offcuts from Quick Card 1 - I didn't want to waste them!  For my tips on speedy cardmaking, see here.

Check out the MFT products I used:

  • Stamps: My Favorite Things - I Knead You (cat), Cool Cat (sentiment)
  • Dies: My Favorite Things - Pierced Rectangle Frames (offcuts from my Quick Card 1), Heart Border Staggered
  • Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, Versafine Onyx Black
  • Colouring medium: Markers
  • Other:  Staedtler black marker for faux stitching

I set the kitty timer at 20 minutes and had 7.5 minutes left!  This was my quickest card of all!

My colour combo was inspired by My Favorite Things MFT Colors 87:

  1. I already know I can't make a card that fast so no need to attempt it! You did great on yours though and I love all the little hearts. Precious card.

  9. Super cute kitty and card, fabulous use of the colours and "speed". I don't make "quick" cards as a rule unless it's a challenge. I'll have to read your tips.

  12. I'm so impressed at how quickly you put this sweet card together. I sometimes take days just to finish a card and it doesn't come out half as adorable as this one. LOVE those cat stamp sets.
