Deer Treat Boxes (VOSP Day 2)

Hello, everyone! Before I get started, I would like to welcome my newest follower - Sandy Dehon - thank you for joining me!

Welcome to Day 2 of the Visions of Sugar Plums blog hop! If you are looking for ideas and inspiration for your Christmas or winter projects, then this blog hop is for you! There are prizes too! Keep reading to find out how you can win! This is a 3-day hop, so if you would like to go back and check out Day 1, please see here.

My Project
Today I'm sharing two little treat boxes! They are just the right size to hold some candy, a gift card, or maybe both! I decided to use colours and images that are gender-neutral.

I love to make little scenes so I created a snowy woodland deer scene on each box, with lots of sparkle!
  • Dies: Treat box (this is an inexpensive, unmarked die from China, but Lawn Fawn makes a Scalloped Treat Box that's much cuter!), circle (Nellie's Multiframe Circles), scalloped stitched circle (Gina Marie Designs), trees, deer (Impression Obsession), landscape (Poppystamps Stitched Landscapes)
  • Patterned paper: Momenta
  • Ink: Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink (sponged around circles)
  • Ribbon: Won from Little Scrap Pieces (thank you, Karen!)
  • Other: Diamond Stickles (added to trees and snow), Signo white gel pen (to simulate snowfall), stars from my Dollarama stash

Blog Hop
My blog is the LAST stop of the blog hop, so please follow this order:

Lori Hairston (Host)
KT Fit Kitty (you are here)

Prizes

Thank you to our generous sponsors:
Birch Press Design: $20 gift certificate
Lawn Fawn: $25 gift certificate
Paper Sweeties: $25 gift certificate
Pretty Pink Posh: $25 gift certificate
The Funkie Junkie Boutique: $25 worth of new Tim Holtz Christmas Idea-ology Products
The Twinery: Sample Pack

How do you win the prizes? Easy! Comment, comment, comment! Comment here on my blog and then comment on all the other stops on the hop. For every comment you make during Visions of Sugar Plums, your name will be added for a chance to win one of our prizes. The more blogs on which you comment, the better your chances! One comment per blog please. All winners will be chosen randomly and announced by Lori Hairston of Chouxchoux Paper Art, our hop host, so please make sure you comment on her blog too! Tell her that Kitty sent you!

Challenge
Lori is also hosting a Visions of Sugar Plums Challenge, to which I will be linking my project! The theme is Christmas/winter, and the linky is open now, until Saturday, December 17.

The prize for this challenge is a $25 gift certificate to Freckled Fawn. Winner is chosen through random selection by InLinkz.

Here's one last look at my treat boxes alongside a gift card to show you the small size! Oh my, look who showed up to be photographed!  It's Eli the elf! He wants to join the 4th Annual Elf Antics Linky at DL.ART! These boxes are just the right size for Eli too!

  39. You could lock Eli up inside one of those gift boxes and keep him from getting into trouble.... but then, what would the fun in that be?! CUTE boxes! I love your deer scene, very woodsy and wonderful.

I just bought one of those very cheap dies from China to try out... a cat silhouette.... I'm not sure where I put now that I got in the mail. Anyway, it appears they work just fine.

  60. These boxes are fantastic! I do think it was so clever of you to make them gender-neutral because I never know who I'm going to end up having to put a quick gift together for! It was also a lot of fun to be able to see two examples. Each box is unique and interesting with the variety of deer silhouettes, but they look beautiful together. Whoever receives these is very lucky indeed and I'm so glad you shared your talents with us for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!
