Hello, everyone! Just popping in to let you know I am having computer problems. At first the problem was something simple (power supply fan) and I've been waiting for a quote. However, now there is an unrelated problem - the computer won't start up at all! I've taken it to the shop (again!), and I hope to find out more tomorrow! We are old-school at our house - no Smartphone or the like, so I'm at the public library now to post this and to check my email. Hopefully I will be back online soon. I've been wanting to spend less time on the computer, but this is not what I had in mind!
On a happier note, when I took the computer in for diagnosis (the first time), Eli found some old friends! I'm linking this to the

ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you have computer problems. We have internet problems here at present. Our connection has been up and down since Last Sunday. Unfortunately when the builders designed our
ReplyDeletehouse the planners insisted that all wiring into the house be underground. That was fine 30 yrs ago but the wiring is now getting brittle and breaking and waterlogged. Of course the powers that be aren't interested in putting in new cabling so its a case of mend it as they go along for as long as they can. Hugs Mrs A.

At least Eli is having fun, and you are not. My daughter's class named the elf, Snowflake. It is such an inconvenience when these issues arise. My husband was such a geek so we always had newest gizmos and now I feel at such a loss. My boyfriend has a flip phone, and I feel like he is in the dark ages, yet he is always wanting me to "look up" or do things on my smart phone for him and I give him grief because I couldn't imagine life without it now. It is terrible now that we RELY on these items. Sorry you weren't closer because I would help you out, hehe now days I have to have my iphone, ipad or computer near. Best wishes.

It's like a car...great when it works and a pain when it doesn't I hope that you and Eli get it fixed soon so that you can keep sharing his adventures with us. My elf, Loopy, offered to give you computer advice, but I wouldn't take her up on it! She's much better at baking cookies than fixing computers

It's really nice that the Library has computers to use. I have done that too. My laptop shuts off so I aim a small fan at the fan opening and it works. So hoppy for Eli to have found some old friends. Hope your computer is back soon.

Poor You! I hate computer troubles. I had a bunch that started with the fan too. But once the fan was fixed the other stuff worked fine. I hope yours is up and running soon.

ReplyDeleteSuch a great pic. I am having troubles on the computer. I wish I had never swapped over to Tony's computer. He made me promise him that I would ditch my laptop and move over to his very expensive computer. Something is wrong with it as it is so slow and I keep getting timed out of sites.
