Winter in Purple

Hello, everyone! This is my second post today! I am happy to be supporting The Hop to Stop. Thank you to Becca at The Damsel of Distressed for hosting this important event to bring awareness to domestic violence. Sadly, I have a personal connection to domestic violence, which I wrote about here. Far too many lives have been torn apart or destroyed by domestic violence and it's time for it to stop.

I made two cards, both for the upcoming holiday season. They both feature purple, which is the colour for National Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Both cards feature the same image.  It's one of my favourite winter scenes.  It's called A Crofter's Winter by Delicious Doodles.  I printed it in purple and added lots of diamond glitter. The sentiment on the first card is from Poppystamps, stamped with Simon Says Stamp Wisteria ink. The embossing folder is Die'sire Embossalicious - Let it Snow, and I added a triple-looped bow in purple satin.

For the second card, I added the strip of ribbon with the satin bow.  The embossing folder is Cuttlebug Snowflake, and the sentiment is from My Favorite Things, again stamped with Simon Says Stamp Wisteria ink.

Do you have a preference?  I like the first one!

Please become informed about domestic violence, its impacts, and available resources. For more information on domestic violence in Canada, see hereIf you are a woman experiencing abuse in Canada, there is someone you can reach out to any time of day or night; see here.

  36. Wowzas! How stunning are these?! Very stunning, to answer my own question. That glittery "snow" just adds to the elegance of that scene. If I haaaaad to choose between the two, I think you're right - I like the subtle snowflakes in the first background. Thanks for adding this gorgeousness to the Hop to Stop gallery!

This image looks fantastic in purple and with lots of sparkle, I just can't pick a favorite of these cards, even though similar they're very different too. A little change of detail can do so much!
