Sympathy Card

Hello, everyone.  I have made another sympathy card for my Mom's stash.

I followed this sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches:

I was also inspired by Mrs. A's Butterfly Challenge, which is Butterflies plus I for Inks. I inked all around the edges of the kraft cardstock with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink. I'm also joining the Snippet Playground and Hiding in My Craft Room (HIMCR) Super Scraps Saturday as I used snippets/scraps for the die-cuts and the patterned paper.

Other products used:

  • Dies: Butterfly (Gina Marie Designs Small Butterfly), Leaves (Memory Box Flutter Vine)
  • Patterned Paper:  Creative Memories
  • Stamp:  Sentiment (Whimsy Stamps Everyday Moments)
  • Twine:  American Crafts

Challenges:
As You Like It Favorite Paper or Non Paper (I prefer paper as that's the only type of crafting I know how to do) 1//3; Beccy's Place January AG UE; Craft Your Passion Always AG 1/3; Crafting by Designs January AG 3/3; Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper January UE; Crop Stop Linky #12 -Distress Inks found at Crop Stop here 1/5; DL.ART January AG UE 1/day; Inspiration Destination AG UE; Not Just Cards AG UE; Sweet Stamps AG UE; The Outlawz Twisted Thursday Favorite Card Shape (A2 rectangle) 1/2; Wags n Whiskers AG 1/2; Word Art Wednesday AG w Uplifting Sentiment 2/5; Your Scrapbook Place January AG 3/3

  8. This is gorgeous Kitty. They are hard cards to make and I try to keep away from making them but they have to be done.

  11. Hi my friend!! How are you? Very lovely sympathy card!! It looks paceful and light, and the fabulous intricate butterfly matches very well with the patterned paper and the pretty leaves!! Your distressing on the edges makes the card's look so soft! I think this is perfect for your mother's stash, because isn't too cheerful and don't feel too blue. An ancient latin quote said " virtue stays in between" :D Well done!!
