Kitty Snow Globes

Hello, everyone!  I'm back!  The hard drive in my computer has been replaced but I still have a lot of work to do to get some programs reloaded - I've had a lot of problems and it hasn't been easy!  But the good news is that I was able to restore all of my documents, photos, and digis!  I'm happy I do a back-up each night so I didn't lose any of them!  I did lose most of my internet favorites and some software programs that are no longer supported but I'll have to make due without them.

Before I share my projects today, I would like to welcome two new followers - Lena Fonkert and Stir Your Creativity - so happy to have you here!

I haven't had a chance to post all of the snow globes I made for gifts so I'll share three of them today. All three of them feature cats from Gerda Steiner Designs. The first one features Carol Cat #1 - I used the digi but I think it's available only as a rubber stamp now as I couldn't find it in the store in the digis.

I coloured the image with Prismacolor pencils and fussy-cut.  I added clear glitter (Stampin Up Dazzling Diamonds) to the white parts of the hat.  I die-cut the snowy landscape with Poppystamps Stitched Landscapes and made the sky with Distress Inks (Evergreen Bough, Mermaid Lagoon, and Blueprint Sketch). I splattered some water to look like snowfall.

Here's the second one, using Carol Cat #2.  I used the same products but added Liquid Pearls for the snowfall.

Here's the third one, using Cat Catching Snowflakes.  I couldn't find this digi in Gerda's store, so I don't think it is available any longer. For the background I used a winter scene paper from The Paper Shelter. Again, I coloured the image with Prismacolor pencils and added clear glitter to the white parts of the hat and also on the snow and trees of the background paper.
