Hedgie Pumpkin and The Hop to Stop

Hello, everyone!  Before I get started, I would like to welcome two new followers - MiamiKel and April Reece - thank you for joining me!

Today I'm sharing a card I made with the adorable Hedgehog with Pumpkin from Gerda Steiner Designs. This is the October progressive challenge image, and I coloured it with Prismacolor pencils and fussy-cut so I could pop it up with foam tape.  I also added Clear Wink of Stella and Glossy Accents over the pumpkin.  It has a sparkly and glossy appearance but it does not come through on the photo.


I went with a purple colour scheme so I can support The Hop to Stop, a blog hop designed to raise awareness about domestic violence. One in three women will experience domestic violence over the course of their lifetimes. Just think about it... that's 33% of all the women you meet.  Purple is the domestic violence awareness colour.  I explained my connection to this issue in the previous blog post.


For my card, I used some snippets/scraps of Doodlebug patterned paper along the left edge. The hedgie is sitting on a strip of musical washi tape. The sentiment from Clearly Besotted - A Little Sentimental clear stamps is stamped vertically.  I added a few purple sequins to finish it off.
